Odd-ball track "Grind Core vs Black-Metal (The Ultimate Dark Core Combat)" is actually a Korn-esque drum and slap bass funk/metal song that comes out of nowhere. The guitar reverts back to that heavier tone from the beginning and the drumming spaces out the blast beats with a lot more double bass pedal work.

Apparently Metal fans would like to forget/deny Grindcore's connection to the Hardcore Punk scene of the 80's all together by needlessly tacking on the word "METAL". Grindcore is Grindcore, period... It did actually emerge due to hardcore bands adopting metal elements (which first led to crust punk, then grind), but yes, pure grindcore is definitely a form of punk, first and foremost. A great one when done right, of course, but still punk. Goregrind is the metal equivalent of grindcore.
